Just curious on that... if you delete right after downloading it or do you keep sharing for an amount of time in general.
Personally i leave it minimum for a week or 2 in my HD. |

| To me, it depends on how many sources are out there for the file. If there is a lot, I set the priority to low. Usually the files are shared for a month or more until I start joining the 2 part movies together and burn all the movies to DVDs and, afterwards, deletiing them from the HD |

Time isnt a neccesarily a factor for me. On releases I'll wait for there to be around 10 - 15 complete sources available before I remove the originals.
Same thing if I'm downloading a new release from another poster.
Files with plenty of sources already available hang around for a couple of weeks after they've completed or until I remember to clear em out. |

hehe. well if it's my own rel i del it after half a year or something when it's pron, musik never get's deleted! same for reshares
if i just loaded a flick it stays at least for a month but normally longer, when i have no time to burn em ...
so
big share ... big traffic :D |

Time isn't a factor for me either.
I keep sharing stuff so long as it meets two criteria:
a) I like it
b) It has fewer sources than anything else in my collection
I'm running low on disk space right now, so I'm culling my collection. First to go are the things I've downloaded that I feel are replaceable - because they're not very good. Then it's the stuff that's good, but commonplace - that gets archived off to DVDs. Finally, I'll look at the really good but really rare stuff. That usually ends up staying, though.
The hardest things to cull in this manner are site rips. Some site rip videos are great, some not so great. So I do them slightly differently - I remove the entire site rip collection, whether I'm keeping it or not.
All in all, it has to be truly dire for me to not keep sharing it for at least a month - so that's the answer I gave. But that doesn't mean that I have always shared everything for a month. :mrgreen: |

I have a 180GB drive dedicated for shares. So I usually keep things on there until it starts to get full then cull off the small dimension vids and the grainy ones.
But usually if they are small or grainy i drop the download before it finishes... i just dont see any use in propagating the crappy ones in the first place. |
