Hello Friends,
I recently ripped this movie and I found out that after 32 minutes the audio goes out of sync (for about 1 second) for the remainder of the movie.
I am guessing that the source DVD had the same problem as it never happened before with any other rip and I always use the same settings.
I was wondering what you guys think, release it anyway or skip this one.

How about using nandub to split the movie at that point where it goes out of synch and then adjusting audio for the second part?
With nandub it is not very difficult to synch the audio if just one sec is missing somewhere.
I think it's better to have a proper version being released than people trying to synch it themselves. |

I am not sure about your DVD but for me a lot of DVD from Marc Dorcel are really a pain in the ass. The DVD itself is OK but after ripping, the movie is always out of sync. I have tried both Gordian Knot and AutoGK, to no avail. Then I have to convert the audio to WAW PCM to see the actual audio length(if I leave it in mp3 format, it always shows wrong runtime), calculate the delay time then mux again in virtualdub.
I think Collie is right. Not many ppl can sync the movie themselves, there are too much noob out there. They don't bother to say thank but if they found something wrong in your release, they will not hesitate to bitch about it :lol: |

Yeah, manual syncing is a pain in the ass!
But that being said, i am a sort of stickler for audio in my porn, i hate it when a movie is dubbed or worse, out of sync.
I've actually spent hours and hours on numerous occasions trying to get audio in sync of certain clips...so i'd say no release if the audio can be fixed. That being said, i wont be DLing the movie, so i'm abstaining from voting... |

Maybe you should go with Constant bitrate for MP3. This will increase size, so you could reduce quality to 96kbps. For porn that's enough.
Ripping can become very problematic when you select the wrong starting point - cause most times you need different delays for the stuff before the main movie and the main movie itself.

Sent you PM. Just try it out. If you don't succeed in getting it sync I'd suggest on not releasing it. ;) |

im not one to say go and try to sync it b/c if it takes too much dont worry about it
the movie looks okay nothing to get your panties in a bind about so if it doesnt sync just skip it
hell if you want to skip it anyways then skip it. the decison is ultimately yours |
