This message appears on the edonkey client only, I also read that uninstall starts automatically. The creator of edonkey has stopped his software and websites and pays a lot of money to the music industry.
But the network itself is fine as servers and all other clients like emule, shareaza, mldonkey, ... aren't affected. Perhaps you have to change to another client to continue your downloads. |

It IS true, the owner of eDonkey (Metamachine) has been forced to shut down eDonkey and pay $30 milion to the RIAA because of massive infringement of copyright rules. eDonkey, Overnet, Bearshare, WinMX, Grokster are down.
Long live open source eMule! :) |

It doesn't matter which server you're connected to because emule asks all servers in your server list for sources. Just stay connected to any server and don't switch around as you can get blacklisted because of this.

NOT true. Try adding this line to your 'hosts' file in c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder:
127.0.0.1 home.overnet.com
and see what happens. 8)
I suspect you can still use edonkey s/w with similar edit. Don't use that, so not sure of edit.
