There's something going on - that's for sure.
With about a dozen servers left to pick from... It's a pity if the ed2k-network is disappearing. :?

Yeah, somethings seems to be afoot, since donkey servers are all I really us, and they seem to be dropping like fly's today :(

I hope the Donkeyserver's aren't permanently gone :(

I've had trouble connecting to any server at all today so far.

same here folks. I cannot connect to any server so I just use Kad for the moment. (I might even say that I have even better D/L speed)

Btw, note that Donkeyserver 4 is a fake.

I would just stick with Kad from here on out.

Agreed. The kad network seems to work just fine by its self. I've read on other forums people have used kad for years alone with no worries, and that most sources come from that anyway. Connecting to a server is not mandatory. Its worth, for now, disabling ED2K connection in connection settings and go with KAD alone.

Apparently, the razorback servers are cool. Up to u if u wanna use em. :)

The Big Bang servers were taken down silently after BREIN (the Dutch anti-piracy hoods) sent them a notice. The Donkey Servers have stopped indexing files preventively, but were not taken down.

Anyhow when Razorback went down there was chaos also. Use Kademlia and I am sure new servers will pop up again in the near future. TVUnderground already started up some.

KAD speeds seem ok, but searching via KAD seems a lot less effective, giving less results.

You can search with Kad. Just switch the drop down bar under method. Does take a while to search though.

I almost never use ed2k (it's good for old or very rare stuff) but using KAD only I could find 2 rare Russian films (by searching for it in Russian) and 1 is done and the other is downloading fine

Kademlia is the sh*t!

OK I think maybe still a few servers are needed but I bet ed2k will survive thanks to KAD :)

Edit: I never connected to any server, so it seems KAD can operate by itself
