| It could be a good idea to select one server in particular that everyone will connect on, this could increase file indexation, source seeking and speed downloads.... |

| Sources are shared through Kad/source exchange, and you don't need to be connected to a server to get search results from it anyway. It would certainly have no effect on download speed. Ed2k is designed to be multi-server (or serverless if you're using Kad only) so there's no real benefit to choosing a specific one - just pick a busy one like one of the DonkeyServer or Byte Devils servers. |

hum, that's partially true, due to the fact the Kad protocol work thru node connection, that's means that some people will never be internconnected with Kad because they are too far from each other
In the contrario of a server connection will permit to index contents and put people 'asking' with people 'having' in contact.
But anyway it was just a suggestion ;-) There is only few ed2k server with max files to share, so I guess that people will naturally connect to the server with the MAX files index...

same here. i normally have used the BigBang servers but there are shut down.
now im on one of the Donkey servers |
