HI to all,

recently I've noticed that expecially in Latin section users post some US movies which have been just undergone a localized title for a specific marked. for example for brasilian market just look this thread or this.

Why I'm pointing at this? Just to not make things confusing.
IT does happen that me and maybe other user download a movie they already have whatched without knowing that.
So I think that it would be a good thing that these kind of posts should clearly point out that they are not a local production.

What do you think?

Yes Mars Artis, you do have a valid point about this. This also occurs with releases from Wicked Pictures.

WP has a partnership with Marc Dorcel to distribute Jenna Jameson movies on French, whilst MD movies with Laure Sainclair, Katsumi, Angel Dark and Priscilla amongst others are released in the US under Wicked Pictures.

Actually, come to think of it, some of Marc Dorcel "doctors and nurses" films are used for Hustler's White Hot Nurses series.

I think to combat this is up to the releaser. He needs to inform that this film is the Brazillian version of "blah blah blah", but with the movie posted in the Euro/Latin section, it is most likely that the poster will post it in his native language and not in English.

Yes, I think it's a good idea to update the rules for these sections, but first we need approval from PschyoLarry and Salseros before the changes (of course, I'm a supermod which gives me entitlement to all sections but I focus on American and Asian stuff).

I thought about it and I agree, movies from American studios that have portuguese dubbed audio still belong in the American release section. If all agreed I will amend the rules and move the releases.

This seems good.

Actually I've not noticed this kind of posts in other forum sections (liek asian, european and so on). But maybe this general rule could be extended to others.

For example, by your poin of view, new American releases related to MILTF should be in American or in Mature section?

I'm just dropping in for a bit to check and see how things are going, I still have a few months before i'm back in this game...so to speak, but I wanted to make a comment about this.

I don't think the title "MILTF" in porn means anything, most of the actresses aren't moms and rarely are they over 30, so I would rule out the "mature" section the majority of the time.
Also, you don't want this board to get to complicated with rules stipulating "well since it's American but it's in Spanish but it has Asian women in it" yada yada. An arguement can be made for just about any adult film made that it can go in just about any section, if someone doesn't have enough common sense to know where to put something then a rule or two isn't going to make a difference. Also - for the first time, I think, I have to disagree with Salseros. I think if it's dubbed in Portugeuse or Spanish, it belongs in the latin section because some people that browse the latin section never take a look in the American section.....yes, there are people that actually listen to the dialogue!

But this is just my opinion  I'm just dropping by anyhow...be back in full force in a few months.

Take care.

jason the point, for me, is not merely related to the language itself.
What I'm sayng is that sometimes the some identical movie is posted twice, one in a section and one in another.
To me, as user, ending in downloading both is just a great loose of time and bandwidth. You may agree.
As I said i don't want anybody be oblidged or forced NOT to post. But I do think that, at this point, there must be a clear notification that that particular movie is not really a national production.

I just think that this little efferd by the poster would just make things better for all the rest of us.

I think Mars Artis' point is to prevent ppl who already downloaded a movie to download it again, this time under a different studio, and under a foreign title.

 Yeah, I knew what his point was, but I was being to long winded as it was so I decided not to keep going, and in the process I forgot to add the part about duplicates.

I agree that the releaser should note that the release has been done by another production company, in a different language, etc.

You know, I hated to even chime in since I havent contributed in a while (not by choice), but hey...i'm not out of this permanently.

Peace, love...and chicken wings. (I hear that a lot, I wish someone would tell me what it means) :?

Well, a problem would arise if the releaser didn't know that a movie is a rerelease.

What should happen is people should put in some useful responses to a release. If you know a release is a rerelease, say so, and we Mods will edit it into the first post. It can't only be the releaser's job, because no one could possibly know every rerelease.

Fine, I think the gentlemen agreement is done.
But just shake our hands once we have cleaned'em off. :D
