I've just been using eMule for a week now. What I noticed is that you should have it running for a few hours before the downloads are getting faster. Next to that you'll have to upload a whole lot to make your downloads go faster.
I'm lucky because my download and upload are the same (40Mbit/sec) zo uploading is no problem. Maybe anyone knows some sites whit some explinations (hope I wrote that the right way) about eMule. |

emule is definitive slower as bittorten - but has hundred times more assortment
in this times anybody has internet connection with flatrate, so who cares if the download need 2 days or 2 weeks to finnish
tip: some user (like me) giving community-boost to pornlinkpro members. just take a look here, add pornlinkpro.com infront of your emule-nickname (like [pornlinkpro.com]overdose) and im sure you will get some files faster ;) |

| Are your getting a HighID? If so, things will pick up as you have been connected longer. I agree with stf, if you don't have [pornlinkpro.com] in front of your nickname, add it. I give friend add any site members I see to my friends list and give friend slots as well. |

That might not help depending on your client. IIRC eMule Plus gives the same bonus for Friend and for Community. |

Look at the help on the site (as linked above) make sure you have port forwarding (google anything if not known) on your router.
You need high id
eMule works (in simple terms) like a que system, if you join a q in a store and walk away (turn off PC) you loose you place in the q. Keeping it on keeps your place.
Also if possible make sure you have the KAD part of eMule on as well. Might not always make a difference but can at times make a huge difference.
other typical things are people sharing, ratio of complete files, other shares internet speeds in conjunction with how many user are asking for file/how man connections they have.
Hope some of this helps
Cheers....Q |
