| You can reduce your chances of getting busted by using a good, regularly updated ipfilter. Using non-default ports and the new protocol obfuscation features might help reduce your chances of being monitored at the ISP end. Nothing is foolproof, but the chances of getting busted are very very small. |

Indeed, You might want to look into PeerGurdian2 as well, its like a firewall made specifically for P2P. http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/
Also from what I understand, filesharers are getting sued from two camps these days. Obviously the RIAA is suing people for music, and different movie groups send out warnings. From what I have read though no one has been sued for downloading pron or games. Not that they won't be in the future, but those two camps have gone rabid after the P2P users.
