Making a password protected board visible to a search engine opens a giant security hole. Even someone with no knowledge of how it's done could use Google's cache, for example, to see the content.
Now, let's say a studio has just released a new film. Someone who works for the studio decides to Google the title, to see where it's being sold, reviewed or discussed. But, if PLP follows your suggestion, one of the results Google returns is a link to a page here offering the film for free.
Seriously, how long do you think it would be before the site was closed down? |
